Do Localvores Really Need a Math Lesson?

Food CEO: “On Friday, Aug. 20, Stephen Budiansky’s op-ed piece in the New York Times, Math Lessons for Localvores, tossed a gauntlet down in front of the locavore community and immediately the “good guys” and the “bad guys” lined up pointing fingers.”

In his article, Budiansky argues that “eating locally grown produce is a fine thing in many ways. But it is not an end in itself, nor is it a virtue in itself.”
