FINANCE/GENERAL MANAGER’S REPORT:
Finance: The Co-op will receive an additional $600K from the federal government for interrupted food service at CDT while we kept management and staff employed during the pandemic. There will also be a credit from the IRS because of changes to how and when you can use losses for credit. This will be about $200K.
The Board thanks Hanah and KDW for staying on top of the financial assistance programs we’ve been eligible for during the pandemic. Hanah and Michele Hintz, HR Manager, the whole Senior Management team played a part.
Kelly informed the Board about a recent purchase of a new van.
Discussion: Co-op 4-H Auction yearly purchase.
Board members agreed in the value of staying involved with the event and with the 4-H program, and the good PR for the Co-op. There’s a positive impact in telling the story that local kids have their product here for local folks to eat.
The Board had Consensus to continue participating in the auction. The Board gave Approval for Buck to attend the upcoming 4-H auction and bid on behalf of the Co-op, Friday July 17, with a budget of $3000 and to have Lori and Wyatt decide what to do with the meat.
Decision: The July meeting will be via Zoom; the Board will look at August at the July meeting.
