Job Location: Co-op West Main
Salary: $20.00 - HOUR
Part-time positions available. Could be full-time. Shifts are either: Sunday-Saturday 6am-9am or Sunday-Saturday 7pm to 10pm. The main focus is bathroom cleaning at both locations. Must be 18 years of age and be willing to submit to a Motor Vehicle Report check.
Purpose: General maintenance and cleaning of Co-op facilities, including daily housekeeping, employee and public bathroom cleaning, floor and deep cleaning, and repair projects.
Specific Responsibilities of Building Services Staff
- Ensure employee and public restrooms are clean and maintained.
- Maintain store appearance and cleanliness by performing weekly cleaning and deep cleaning duties.
- Respond to cleaning needs as they arise throughout the day.
- Perform special building or repair projects as directed.
- Ensure recycling and trash are removed and stored properly.
- Perform regular maintenance duties such as changing filters, drain maintenance, refrigeration coil cleaning, and checking belts as scheduled.
- Regularly clean the glass on retail cases.
- Clean beams, light fixtures, open-air coolers, and other fixtures according to schedule.
- Keep outside patio furniture and floor surfaces clean and organized.
- Assist with periodic deep cleaning of floors.
- Use appropriate cleaning products for each specific cleaning task.
- Assist the Facilities Manager with projects as requested.
- Communicate any equipment and facility maintenance and repair issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Drivers' License for travel between locations required.
- Must be 18 years of age and be willing to submit a Motor Vehicle Report Check.
- Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment that demonstrates the ability or aptitude to successfully meet the expectations listed above.
- Ability to create an attractive, welcoming, and efficient shopping environment.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks accurately and safely.
- Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; early morning, daytime, evening, holidays, and weekend shifts may be required.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. throughout shift, occasionally 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods and to bend and twist repeatedly; ability to lift product overhead and/or to climb ladders with product.
