Co-op Guest Chef Night

The Co-op (in partnership with Pioneer Meats and Root Cellar Foods) invites you to join us in support of Fork & Spoon Homestyle Kitchen:

  • Thursday, November 8
  • 5 - 7 pm
  • 302 North 7th Ave

Fork & Spoon is Bozeman's only social enterprise restaurant operating on a "pay-what-you-can" model. Patrons are presented with a suggested meal cost, however, ultimately set their own price.

The kitchen serves made-from-scratch dinners every Sunday-Friday from 5-7 pm.

Everyone is invited to join us for the Co-op's Guest Chef Night on November 8.

You can pay what you are able, pay the suggested price, or pay it forward to help offset the cost of those who are unable to contribute.

All proceeds go directly to Fork & Spoon.

What's Cookin'

Co-op guest chefs Kelly Walunis and Lori Petermann will prepare a special apple-inspired menu:

  • Local Pork Stew with Fresh Sage and Montana Apples (served over soft polenta)
  • Local Butternut Squash Soup
  • Greens topped with Blue Cheese, Apples and Candied Nuts
  • Local Veggie and Apple Pizza
  • Apple Walnut Cardamom Spice Cake
  • Hot Apple Cider (made from apples pressed at Rocky Creek Farm by Gallatin Valley Botanical)

Local Produce Donation

Root Cellar Foods has generously donated more than 100 pounds of processed local vegetables for this meal.

Co-op Local Pork Donation

The menu features pork from locally-raised hogs purchased by the Co-op at the 4-H Junior Livestock Market Sale. The hogs were raised by Lane and Sage Smart.

 Pioneer Meats of Big Timber has graciously processed the animals free of charge as a supporter of this event.

The hogs yielded 200 pounds of meat and whatever pork is not used for this dinner will be donated to Fork & Spoon for other meals throughout the year.

An Apple a Day...

In addition, support Fork & Spoon all month long by purchasing apples at the Co-op.

In November, were are donating 10 cents of every bulk apple sold (at both locations) to this important community resource.
