An Apple a Day in May...
In May, 10 cents of every bulk apple sold will benefit the Gallatin Valley Food Bank's Senior Grocery program.
The program distributes and delivers non-perishable groceries to 320 qualifying seniors living in Gallatin, Park, and Madison Counties.
With the onset of COVID-19, the food bank has seen an increased need for this service.
Funding from Apple a Day will be used to provide fresh produce, meat and eggs to supplement the grocery packages six times throughout the year. Donations will also provide additional food resources to seniors who are minimally over the income threshold.
In March, Apple a Day raised $2,215.00 for the Special Olympics Montana (Big Sky).
In April, Apple a Day raised $1,568.30 for the Cancer Support Community.
