Why Join?
The Community Food Co-op is open to anyone who can make use of its services and is willing to accept the responsibilities involved. Joining the Co-op is as easy as completing an application and paying your member owner fee (a low one-time payment of $35 or easy monthly payments of $5)!

Member Specials

Working Member Option
Members may apply to be working members and earn discounts on their purchases. Review the Working Member Policy for more information.
Senior Discount
Available to members over 65 years of age.
EATS
Qualifying low-income member owners may apply for a discount. Find out about the EATS program or download and print an EATS application
Co-op Cash Card
Deposit money on your Co-op Cash Card (or gift card) and pay for your purchases conveniently and quickly. Add a member number sticker for more efficiency!
Special Orders
Member owners pay a discounted markup on special orders. Special ordering is available through the grocery department or Customer Service until 6pm daily.
Leave Your Car @ Home – Bike, Walk or Take the Bus to the Co-op
Paid-in-full member owners who get to the Co-op under their own power are rewarded (details in store).
Reciprocity with Other Co-ops
Show your Community Food Co-op card at most co-ops throughout the country and receive their member owner price.
Community Partners Program
Showing your Co-op card at partner businesses entitles you to special discounts.
Our Newsletter and Monthly NCGA Flyer
The Community Food News and the Co+op Deals Flyer contain entertaining and useful information. Trips to the Co-op offer an opportunity for discovery and active participation in current events. Throughout the store, in our newsletter and flyer, we provide information on everything from products on our shelves to issues affecting the world.
