4% Day Grant

The Co-op 4% Day Grant is a program established in 2001 in which the Co-op gives 4% of its total sales (on the fourth Friday of every month) to a local organization or business whose efforts are in line with our mission and have applied and been accepted through our grant process. When you shop at the Co-op on 4% Day, know that your money is staying in Montana to help others.

Bozeman Youth Initiative (Greenhouse Bus Project)

The mission of the Cloud Nine FArm is to grow chemical free, premium quality vegetables, herbs, fruits and perennial edible and native plants while following sustainable practices. The goal of GVFtoS is to increase the volume of Montana-produced products throughout the entire school meal system through all of Gallatin Valley. Grant monies will go to the General Public Education campaign that will give students, parents, and the community action steps to take in support of a sustainable food system. MOA advocates and promotes organic agriculture for the highest good of the people, the environment, and the state’s economy. MOA will use 4% funds to stay active in protecting small farmers from onerous food safety legislation. M.O.A.

Sabo Ranch is a premier source for 100% grassfed beef, Devon cattle and Jersey cattle, raised without hormones or antibiotics and fed on fields free of any toxic chemicals. The 4% funds will be used to create a campsite on the Sabo Ranch to host summer overnight visitors. Sabo Ranch

A small farm produce supplier that promotes sustainable practices, Solar Acres will use the grant funds for the construction of a root cellar.
