Eat Local Bozeman 2009

Hey Montana! Are you ready for a deliciously, nutritious challenge? We’re calling all herbivores, carnivores and omnivores to try their hands at being a localvore. Whether you’re a seasoned and dedicated local eater, a dabbler or a wannabe, this challenge is for everyone.

With more and more folks getting passionate about local food, Eat Local America is a nationwide summer challenge organized by the National Cooperative Grocers Association to promote and bring attention to the benefits of eating and buying local. From cities to rural communities, people are pledging to eat local at participating Co-ops across the country.

This fall, kick-start your quest to eat more local foods by joining the Eat Local Bozeman Challenge. The Co-op invites you to join us as we challenge ourselves to increase our local food intake and help promote a sustainable local food system.

Our challenge is scheduled for Sept. 1-15, 2009.

How to Join

The Co-op is asking you to make a commitment to yourself to eat five local ingredients a day. Of course, we also encourage you take this challenge as far as you like.

To sign-up for the challenge, stop by the Customer Service Desk and add your signature to our sign-up sheet or sign up online.

Prizes

Once signed-up, your name will be entered in a raffle to win a Co-op Gift Card and a pair of tickets to Jason Mraz with G Love and Special Sauce in Bozeman on Sept. 23.
