Run for the 2010 Board of Directors

The Community Food Co-op announces the opening of nominations for the 2010 Board of Directors election this June. Three of the nine board positions will be voted on.

Three of the nine board positions will be voted on.

Nominations packets are available at the Customer Service desk beginning Feb. 1 and April 1 is the filing deadline. Nominations packets contain all the instructions for filing.

Candidates must:

  • Attend at least one Board meeting (Feb.18, March 23 or April 15)
  • Review informational material and complete the nominations packet
  • Arrange to meet with the Nominations and Process Committee to discuss your interest in the Board and answer any questions you might have about Board service.

Co-op Board of Directors oversee the general manager, assure the fiscal well being of the organization, set policy, and plan for the future of the Co-op, among other things. As a Director, you must commit to attendance and preparation for monthly board meetings on the third Thursday of each month, participate in an annual weekend retreat, committee work, and related special assignments.
